Backyard Adventures

FullSizeRender (68)Sometimes thrills are right under our noses. Seizing the moment, Nonna and Pops loosely planned a few days with the two and three year-old cousins under our wings, sans parents and siblings.

IMG_8100The mission: Have fun!  Be kind!  Be safe!

What we all learned:

Popsicles are especially delicious outside, before playing in the sand.

The grandboys are surprisingly adept at navigating the three-level “fort”  built last year by Pops.  The sandbox is age-appropriate from 1 to 63 years of age.

FullSizeRender (65)Swimming is a bonus.  One-on-one is essential.

FullSizeRender (72)The tent erected inside is a great idea for playing “camp” with sleeping bags and flashlights but not quite yet for sleeping.

Naps are a saving grace for Nonna and sometimes for FullSizeRender (66)Pops.

The giggles are a great response to everything.  So is singing, banging on the piano and playing  with the retriever.

Nonna and Pops may introduce grandchildren to new things and experiences as they see fit.
